Just a little bit about myself...
I have recently moved to Hobart from Brisbane where I held the position of Head Creative-Marketing, for Quest Newspapers the local network of News Limited papers; I held this position for the last three and a half years and managed a small team of designers. I have been very happy at Quest and at News Limited and am very proud of the work we have achieved over the past few years. This includes redesigning all our newspapers and launching 3 new ones. It also includes working on News Limited brands such as CareerOne, True Local and Carsguide as well as realestate.com.au.
I also run a freelance consultancy with my wife, Veney, which specialises in brand design and architecture, all collateral, advertising including print and web, signage, print production and brand development. Our clients include Australia China Metal Corporation Pty Ltd (ACMC), See3Technologies Pty Ltd, Abacastor Pty Ltd and Global Synergy Consulting Pty Ltd. One highlight was launching ACMC in Australia and assisting in them securing an $80 million contract. We also recently developed a campaign with Brisbane City Council to attract high calibre donations to raise money for the restoration of the Brisbane City Hall.
Previous to moving to Brisbane I worked as an Art Director at Curtis and Partners Advertising in North Melbourne for 4 years. In this time Curtis and Partners grew by over 300%. We were successful in several major client pitches in the primary industry sector including gps-Ag, Crop Care and Nufarm (ASX listed companies) and have won several marketing and print awards. When I have time I dabble in visual art and regularly exhibit work.
